When you search for a US business phonebook listing, business name and location or phone number, Google will return a map — and a website, if Google has found it. You can read more in the next section, Street Maps. You'll receive an email confirmation that your request was submitted within a few hours. Requesting this be removed does not guarantee it, but it's helpful to try and remove any personal information you don't want online. Tap the three dots to request that Google remove information from a search result. If you don't have a Google account, usethis form to request information be removed from a Google search result.

Instant Street View
Instant Street View searches for a match and takes you there. If your entry is vague, a drop-down list of suggested locations appears. Navigate to Instant Street View on a web browser and begin typing the name or address of a location in the search box.
The home address is the physical location of your Google Nest or Google Home devices. This address may not be the same address as your work and home locations. We can’t figure out which internet browser instructions to show you.
Delete your home or work address
Places rated or reviewed by you or people in your circles. Search for a type of business, restaurant, or place. To check the entire map and hide the side panel, on the right side of the panel, click the Arrow. You get search results as red mini-pins or red dots, where mini-pins show the top results. Learn more about what the mini-pins mean. To use home and work when you search or use directions, you must turn on Web & App Activity.
Or, go to Google Maps, enter an address, and select the Pegman to bring up Street View imagery. Personalized search results might appear under the search box. You can get information about the place like the address, hours of operation, phone number, website, and ratings or reviews. To filter your search results, use the drop-down menus below the search box.
Step 1: Change your search provider to Google
Use the slider at the bottom to go back in time and see old views of the area. Position the view to the front of the home and select Report a problem. Fill out the form and select My Home in the Request Blurring section. You can use thisrequest feature if personal information has been shared (on a website you don't control or in a news story to harm you, for example) against your wishes. This is important to know in case any of your personal information gets posted publicly. That means if your cell phone number that you don't want clients or anyone you don't know to have comes up in a Google search for your name, you can request this to be removed.
If you wish to remove your listing from Google’s PhoneBook, complete the name removal form. Google’s residential phonebook feature recognizes inputs in several formats. The end of the PhoneBook listing has a link to the Google Phonebook Name Removal form. Be aware that, once you’ve removed your number from the listings, you can’t add it back.
If you can't find home and work in Maps, learn how to turn on Web & App Activity. Next to the address you want to change, click Edit. With Google Home, your Nest and Matter devices work together reliably to help with your household needs. Just look for smart devices with a Works with Google Home or Matter badge. At the top, make sure your home name is listed.
The Instant Street View site is great if you want to immediately view a specific location, but if you're on Google Maps, you can also switch to Street View. Use your mouse or touchscreen to change direction, and use the arrows on the street to move backward, forward, or sideways. If you don't want to find search suggestions in Google Maps, update your preferences in the other Google products. When you sign in to Google Maps, you can get more detailed search results. You can find places you've searched for before and search for your contacts by name.
If needed, tap the name to change the selected home.
You can search for places and locations with Google Maps. Join the Public Preview to try new Google Home app features early. Click the Search button at the top of the Preferences window. Click on Safari in the top Apple menu, and then select Preferences. Click the down arrow on the left side of the search box.
Next to When Firefox starts, open the drop down menu and select Show my home page. Next to New windows open with, open the drop down menu and select Homepage. Open the next drop down menu and select Homepage to see your homepage in new tabs. To see street imagery from the past, drag the Pegman onto the map where you want to see past views, and then select Time.
Click on Opera from the top menu and select Settings, and then Preferences. Type in the Home Page box, and close the Preferences window to save. Click on Firefox in the top left corner, then select Options, and then click on Options in the right menu. Click on the settings icon in the upper right corner and select Settings. Now the button to make Google your search provider should work. Follow these steps to keep your personal information off Google.
You can also choose the picture in the upper-left corner to view photos of the location. If the Pegman is not showing, select the street in front of where you want to use Street View, and then select the pop-up that appears. If you don't get a pop-up, Street View is not available for that location. Select the correct address or location from the list, and then select the Pegman in the lower-right corner.

Intelius reports cannot be used for background checks related to consumer credit, insurance, employment, housing or any other purpose prohibited under the FCRA. Click the Details » button, and then check both boxes next to Use as default search engine and Use as Speed Dial search engine. To make Google your default search engine, you just need to switch from apps to the desktop. Sometimes, websites will display a frightening amount of your personal information with no digging at all on a Google search. Next to Default search engine, click on the drop down menu and select Google.
